Terms of Service

These terms apply when you order a report from Homeschool Reports(“we”, “us”). By placing an order you agree to them. Please read them — especially the section on how reports are submitted.

What we do

We prepare a draft home education annual reportbased on the information and work samples you give us, formatted to suit your state's home education reporting requirements. We are a private service that helps you prepare your report.

What we are not

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of QHE, the Department of Education, or any government authority. We do not provide legal advice. Our reports are a tool to help you meet your reporting obligations — the obligation itself remains yours.

You review and submit your own report

This is important. The report is yours, and you are responsible for reviewing it and submitting it to your education authority yourself. Home education rules require the parent or guardian to submit the report — we cannot and do not submit it for you. You are responsible for ensuring the information in your report is accurate and a true reflection of your child's learning before you submit it.

Your responsibilities

• Provide accurate, honest information and genuine work samples from your child's learning.
• Review your draft before submitting it.
• Submit your report to your authority by your due date.
• Only upload material you have the right to share.

Turnaround and revisions

We aim to deliver within the turnaround you select at checkout (Standard, Express or Emergency). Your turnaround time starts when you complete your report questionnaire — not when you pay. Payment comes first, then we ask you the questions we need to write the report; the clock begins the moment you submit those answers and your work samples, so nothing is used up while you gather them.

We offer free revisions until your report is accepted by your authority — if changes are requested, we'll update your report at no extra cost, provided you give us the authority's feedback and any additional evidence needed.

We're a small human team, not an automated service, so the 5-hour (Emergency) clock only counts during our working hours — 5:00 am to 9:00 pm, Queensland time — and pauses overnight. For example, a 5-hour order whose questionnaire is completed at 7:00 pm uses two hours that evening and the remaining three from 5:00 am, ready by around 8:00 am. Answers submitted after 9:00 pm or before 5:00 am start counting from 5:00 am. We email you your expected delivery time as soon as your answers are in.

Pricing and payment

Prices are shown in Australian dollars (AUD) at checkout and are payable in full at the time of ordering. Payments are processed securely by Stripe.

Refunds

Because each report is custom work prepared specifically for your family, our standard approach is to fix any issues through our free revisions rather than refunds. If you haven't yet completed your report questionnaire, you can ask us for a full refund, no questions asked — we haven't started work at that point. We'll also refund you if we're unable to deliver your report. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law, which applies to our services and cannot be excluded.

Your report and intellectual property

Once your order is paid, the finished report is yours to use and submit for your home education registration. You retain ownership of the work samples and information you provide.

Acceptance by your authority

We prepare reports carefully and to a high standard, and we back this with free revisions until acceptance. However, the decision to accept a report rests with your education authority, which we don't control. Our free-revisions commitment is how we stand behind our work.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, and subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, our liability for any claim relating to our service is limited to re-supplying the service or refunding the amount you paid for the affected order.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
