Homeschool Reports

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 June 2026

Homeschool Reports(“we”, “us”) prepares home education annual report drafts for Australian families. We take the privacy of your family's information — especially your child's — seriously. This policy explains what we collect, why, how we protect it, and your rights. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

We only collect what we need to prepare and deliver your report:

  • Parent/guardian details: your name, email address, phone number and postal address.
  • Child details:your child's name, date of birth, grade level and the educational information you provide.
  • Educational evidence: the work samples you upload — photos, scans and documents you choose to add.
  • Order details: your state, the option you chose, and your order history with us.
  • Payment information: processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

If you begin the form but don't complete an order, we keep the contact details you entered so we can offer to help you finish. You can opt out of these reminders at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails.

Why we collect it

  • To prepare your home education report and deliver it to you.
  • To contact you about your order and respond to your questions.
  • To send order updates and — unless you opt out — occasional reminders if you haven't finished.
  • To process your payment and keep a record of your order.

How we store and protect it

Your information and uploaded work samples are stored in private, access-controlled cloud storagehosted in Australia. Files are not publicly accessible. Access is limited to what's needed to prepare your report. Payments are handled by Stripe over an encrypted connection.

Who we share it with

We never sell your information, and we don't share it for anyone else's marketing. We use a small number of trusted service providers purely to run the service:

  • Stripe — to process payments securely.
  • Google (Gmail) — to send you emails.
  • Our hosting and storage providers — to run the website and store your data securely.

We will only disclose your information if required by law. Importantly, we do not submit anything to any education authority — you review and submit your own report.

Advertising and analytics

To understand how well our own advertising works, we use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel. It records general activity on this site — such as page views and completed orders, including the order value — and shares those events with Meta, which may set cookies in your browser. We use this only to measure and improve our own ads. We never send Meta your child's information or your work samples. You can limit this through your browser settings and your Meta ad preferences. We also use privacy-friendly website analytics that don't identify you personally.

How long we keep it

Your child's work samples and uploaded documents — the photos, audio, files you send us and the finished report — are deleted 12 months after your order is completed. That happens automatically. You don't have to ask, and once they're deleted they're gone from our storage, not just hidden.

Files you send with an enquiry— such as a photo of a letter you've received — are deleted 12 months after our conversation last had any activity, the same way.

Your order and billing record — your name, contact details, what you ordered and what you paid — is kept for five years, because Australian tax law requires us to keep financial records for that long.

You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time (see below). Deleting an order removes your uploaded files along with the record. We'll do it unless we're legally required to retain something.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or unsubscribe from emails, at any time. Just email us at hello@homeschoolreports.com.auand we'll action it promptly.

Children's information

Information about your child is provided by you, the parent or guardian, and is used solely to prepare your report. We do not collect information directly from children and we do not use your child's information for any other purpose.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we've handled your information, please contact us first at hello@homeschoolreports.com.au. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
